2024: A Year of Growth, Challenges, and Opportunities in Property Investment

As the year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the whirlwind that was 2024. From challenges that pushed me out of my comfort zone to incredible opportunities that reinforced my purpose, this year has been about growth, resilience, and staying true to my vision.

The Start of a New Chapter
Early in the year, I made the decision to invest in myself, working with mentors who provided invaluable guidance. Their support inspired me to launch our family property consultancy—a business that ties together my carpentry trade and corporate experience to help others achieve financial freedom.

But the road wasn’t always smooth. Facing redundancy could have been a setback, but I saw it as an opportunity to double down on my vision. Instead of retreating, I embraced the challenge and poured my energy into scaling the business.

Celebrating Wins and Navigating Challenges
From submitting over 150 property offers to signing our first investors, this year was full of milestones. I had the privilege of delivering a keynote to 30+ business professionals in Sunderland, speaking to over 200 schoolchildren about their futures, and networking with key stakeholders across the North East.

Of course, there were challenges too. Balancing family life with the demands of being a business owner was no small feat. But my family—especially my boys—remain my ultimate motivation, reminding me why I started this journey in the first place.
